01 General description
Solar energy powered beacons, designed for the signaling of meteorological and telecommunication towers, cranes, chimneys, bridges, wind turbines, or any structure up to 45m high, which may represent a risk for aviation, as well as for aerodromes, airports, marinas and ports.
They can be installed in a complementary way together with Medium Intensity Type C beacons on obstacles over 104m high.
ICAO STAC certification for low intensity Type B beacons.
- Low intensity <45m
- Intensity 10Cd
Power Source: Solar energy with batteries (compact equipment).
Operation: Autonomous beacon, during the day recharges the batteries and shines automatically at night.
Indicated for: Obstacles up to 45m high.
Autonomy: In total absence of the sun and operating 10 hours a day:
4 nights under ICAO Type B configuration.
