News – 8th of October NEWS IN THE MARITIME SECTOR DUE TO THE LAUNCH OF THE SOLAR SIGNPOSTING SYSTEM
Barcelona, 8th of October 2003 - During the World Fishing Exhibition of Vigo in September, IV Solar launched the solar signposting for the maritime sector with its luminous system which is self charged by solar energy, needs no maintenance and has direct applications to buoys, fish farms, water-bearings, berths, fleets, ports, shipyards, road works and maintenance, among others. The system of IV Solar gives priority to using solar energy as renewable, clean and ecological power source. The solar signposting marker does not need previous installation and stands out for the high quality standards of its components such as the solar cell, the LEDs, the plastic components, its electronic device and its effective vandal resistance system. The company has patented this new technology and has installed more than 1,000 units, counting among its clients Barcelona Airport, Port Ginesta, Port of Garraf and Port of Rosas. Now the maritime sector can now use a system that reduces the signal and lighting costs using our new technology powered by solar energy which is sustained and ecological.” The company has started international expansion plans with presence in markets as France and Portugal. At the same time, it has begun negotiations to establish commercial operations with American companies and with the U.S. Lately, the company has launched the newest solar signposting marker with high autonomy and with remote control. It can be applied to: Navigation: Maritime signposting, ports, water-bearings, craft signposting, etc. Road signposting: Roads lighting, curves, highways, level crossings, railroad tracks, etc. construction works: Traffic circle signposting, road maintenance, infrastructure works, fences, New Jersey fences.
